Where do you guys get the Dolphin bride that downloads to Kindle Fire HD? I went to Google pay, selected Dolphin browser and it said compatible with all my devices, but it only listed my phone as available device to download to. Thanks
I read the instructions again and have downloaded the Dolphin Browser and a p k file. I was able to watch a Flash player video. Way cool! L I have a slight problem though now. Before I did it correctly, I downloaded that .apk file while on my Silk browser, plus the initial time I was on the Flash player site and tried to download from there. I.m wondering if these extra and unnecessary downloads, as well as the correct one I just executed have made my web pages load kind of glitch y? Anything I can do to regain smooth loading on webpages? Thanks so much?
I am trying to download an apk file from my website and it works on every android phone (downloads and installs). I tried this on a Galaxy Tab 3 and it failed to just download the file. It shows that its downloading but its stuck on the progress bar forever and never downloads. It failed with these browsers:
So I figured that maybe because our site is in https that that might be the issue. I tested the same browsers with the " -debug.apk" url again except under https this time. It functioned the exact same way as it did on our site. All browsers except Firefox failed to download this. They just say downloading but nothing downloads.
Now I assume that maybe this test site just wasn't setup for SSL to begin with (I don't know as I didn't setup the server) so thats why its failing on most tablet browsers. Is there some weird SSL setting that could be super picky with some of the tablet browsers? Or do most tablet browsers just suck and I have to deal with it? I really don't understand why download this apk file on ever browser besides the main ones on the tablet (except Firefox, that still works)
The Firefox browser on my phone does not download the application either. So I have the Chrome browser on Galaxy Tab 3 not downloading but its working on my phone Nexus 5. Firefox downloads it on Galaxy Tab 3 but not on my Nexus 5.
I setup remote developer tools on my desktop and connected to my phone for more info. My firefox browser makes a request to the url for download and receives the correct content-type application/vnd.android.package-archive.
So I decided to create a script that forces the content-type to be application/octet-stream and download it through the php script. I managed to get this to work on my Nexus 5 Firefox browser however, all of the Galaxy Tab 3 browsers still do not work. It was a very minor breakthrough but maybe it hints to what the problem could be.
Although OP said this failed on Dolphin Browser, I found that apk downloads do work with Dolphin Browser version 11.5.5 and above on both Amazon Fire TV 1 and Amazon Fire Stick 1. In addition, current versions of Firefox and Opera browsers work.
I'm using a Nexus 7 device and whenever I download a file greater than 28MB, the Chrome browser renames it to Download.bin no matter what the name of the file. When I download a file less than 28MB, the type (jpg, for instance) remains intact but the name of the file is changed to "Download". When I use Firefox within android, the files are downloaded as expected no matter what the size. My hunch is that this is some security feature built into Chrome. The site is hosted by IIS 7.5 and I'm using the BOM with JavaScript to download the file. Any idea of a workaround for this so that Chrome downloads the files correctly? It works correctly on the desktop version of Chrome, but not the android version of Chrome. Would appreciate any help!
It's possible there may be a problem with the site itself, or the browser. What you can do is to rename the .bin file to the expected filename. e.g. If you downloaded music.mp3 and the browser renamed it to anotherfilename.bin, just rename it to music.mp3 using a file manager.
This issue is caused by the fact that the Android Chrome browser doesn't understand UTF-8 encoding. I was UTF-8 encoding the file names since the desktop version of Chrome requires this. It turns out that file names don't need to be UTF-8 encoded for non-ascii characters for the Android Chrome browser. I was able to successfully download a file using Android Chrome with Korean characters in it without encoding it with UTF-8.
Puffin Browser is a superb mobile browser that not only excels at loading desktop sites automatically, but also provides an insanely useful feature when it comes to navigating them. But first, you need to configure the browser to work in desktop mode. So download the app and go through the following instructions to get that done.
Testing this code in any desktop browser, I get the expected download notification and the file downloads like a champ. When I test drive this in the Android browser the result is different. Rather than getting a file download, I get the correct filename downloading but instead of using the necessary APK extension, the file is magically transformed into an HTM file, which is completely useless. This seems like a painfully bad decision for the content handling mechanisms of the browser, perhaps even a bug. Looking for some sign in the Android logs, I see this:
The Android web browsers like Opera, Google Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, etc., are considered the fastest browser for downloading bulky files, with a dedicated download manager page to keep a log of all your downloads to date. Downloading large files at high speed needs a reliable network connection as well.
Are you looking to download files at blazing speeds on your browser? Then BrowserHow is here with the perfect list. There is no scarcity of Android browsers in the Play Store. But none could be called the overall winner.
And in this guide, we will cover the fastest browser for Android to download. Some of the browsers are designed with a primary focus on file downloads. They are built with advanced download engines to ensure faster, even with simultaneous file downloads.
A few weeks ago, my college friend told me he was looking for the best browser for downloading on an android phone. The browser should let him download large files faster to multitask and save time. I wrote this article to help him and many others like him.
On the flip side, the app tends to ask for too much permission. Furthermore, the suggested article will flood your home screen (which you can remove later). Still, let us not deviate from its USP, providing the fastest download speed among all its competitors, irrespective of file size or type, making it the fastest browser for Android.
Thanks to its advanced javascript rendering engine, the Puffin browser can download bulky files with minimum effort. The Puffin browser can also save downloaded files to Drive, Dropbox, and the cloud accounts.
If you are looking for an Android browser for faster downloads focusing on privacy, your search should stop here. Given the tough competition to Firefox, DuckDuckGo has achieved quite a lot in such a short period. The browser blocks most of the third-party website trackers, both the visible and the hidden ones.
We conclude this list of the best Android browsers for downloading. All of them are quite capable of downloading heavy files. It ultimately boils down to your personal choice. There are also a few other notable mentions, like the phoenix browser, tor browser, etc., but even they have a good downloading speed.
Since I wrote this article keeping the needs of my college friend and others alike, he said it helped him choose the fastest android browser for downloading that could aid multitasking and not hinder any progress. He even shared it with his friends.
UC Browser is a free web browser application. UC Browser APK has millions of downloads that are mostly in China, India, and Indonesia. While the internet browsing service is popular, the popularity is decreasing due to security concerns. The platform is a subsidiary of Alibaba Group that is developed by UCWeb.
UC Browser features add-ons on the browser's home screen as a daily horoscope and weather forecast preview. The forecast will show the temperature and a brief description of the weather. Additionally, you can download online games from the game center, and is available in multiple languages like Chinese, English, Urdu, etc.
UC web browser is not a reputable application to download, and not to mention, the app does not deliver a browsing experience that makes the service worth getting. You will have commands at the bottom of the simple interface with arrows to go forward and back. The hamburger menu will show you the main features. A home button is available to let you quickly navigate to the main screen.
The popular Dolphin browser also has adblock functionality, but you will have to download a separate adblock add-on for it to work. Dolphin browser comes with a built-in flash player, which is rare to get as the internet is moving away from flash content. However, if you need to view any flash content like games or videos, then Dolphin will be able to run it.
It also has a built-in video downloader to download online videos while browsing, and its quick share functionality makes this just that easier to share on other apps. Best of all, Dolphin has tons of free add-ons to customize the browser as you like.
The browser itself is very small and works amazingly fast even if you have a low spec phone. Other than the regular browser features, Pure Browser also lets your download videos, use night mode, scan QR codes, save pages for offline viewing, and take screenshots. 2b1af7f3a8
